What’s included in a Total warranty service agreement?
Total will provide, without any additional charges or deductibles, all parts and labor necessary to keep the air conditioning, appliances, electrical and plumbing equipment or fixtures, as covered in your contract, in good working order.
What appliances will Total repair?
Total technicians can repair and replace all makes and models of central air conditioning and heating units, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens and ranges, garbage disposals, microwave ovens, clothes washers and dryers and water heaters.
What is replacement coverage?
With replacement coverage, if we can’t repair your covered equipment, including air conditioner, heater, refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer, dishwasher, water heater, stove, oven, range, microwave oven or garbage disposal, we will replace it. Some exclusions apply. Please note that within the first 30 days of the contract, Total will have no obligation to replace any air conditioning, appliances, fixtures or equipment (whether or not you have replacement coverage).
What is extended coverage?
You can purchase coverage for electrical and plumbing repairs beyond the standard repairs as defined in the Total warranty service contract.
What are Total’s hours of service?
Total provides same-day or next-day service Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to our clients under contract in Broward County and Miami-Dade County.
Does Total provide emergency service?
Yes, Total will provide emergency service within 24 hours, 365 days a year for your air conditioning, refrigerator, and plumbing – if serious water leaks cannot be contained and electrical – if equipment is shorting out or emitting sparks.
What areas does Total serve?
Total Appliance serves customers throughout Broward County, Miami-Dade County, and parts of Palm Beach County in South Florida.
How much does a Total service warranty cost?
Since our insurance plans are customizable, the cost will vary according to the equipment being covered and the actual age of each piece of equipment that you wish to cover.
Are there any deductibles associated with my service contract?
No, there are no extra costs beyond what you pay for your service contract.
Is Total Appliance licensed?
Yes, all Total technicians, electricians and plumbers are licensed and bonded in the state of Florida. Plus, our technicians are factory-trained to repair all makes and models of air conditioners and appliances.
What brands of appliances does Total repair?
All major brands.
If I sell my home, can I transfer my service plan?
Yes, if you sell your home during the term of your contract, you can transfer the remaining length of your contract to the new homeowner.
Can I cancel my Total warranty service contract?
Yes, you may cancel your contract at any time prior to expiration. If you initiate the cancellation, any premiums returned will be based upon 90% of the unearned pro-rata premium less any claims or cost of repairs or replacements made.
When does my Total service contract coverage begin?
Your contract begins on the date of purchase. Within the first 30 days of the contract, Total will have no obligation to replace any air conditioning, appliances, fixtures or equipment (whether or not you have replacement coverage).
When does my contract expire?
Total service warranty contracts expire one year from date of purchase and may be renewed at this time.
Do I have to cover all my major appliances?
Because our service agreements are completely customizable, you can choose to cover as little as one appliance or all major appliances in your home.
Does Total install new appliances?
Total sells and installs new air conditioning systems; however, we do not sell or install new appliances.
Will Total make repairs if I don’t have a service contract?
Yes, call us for repairs whether you have a service contract or not. If you see us out and about, feel free to flag us down and we’ll be happy to repair your AC or appliances. For customers without a service contract, we will provide a written estimate and begin service upon approval of the estimate.
